Each year, Specsavers hosts the Specsavers Clinical Conference, one of the biggest professional development conferences in the Australia and New Zealand optometry calendar.

However, due to current events, this year we’re doing things a bit differently.
We’re pivoting our traditional conference series and delivering a new and engaging professional development series aimed at all Australian and New Zealand optometrists through the SCC Online Series – a free regular monthly program of CPD – and it’s open to all AU/NZ optometry students as well!

By participating in the SCC Online series you’ll get access to a variety of virtual presentations, panel discussions and interactive webinars featuring leading ophthalmologists and optometrists and health professionals on topics including:

  • Glaucoma diagnosis and co‐management
  • Use of OCT in clinical practice and interpreting OCT results
  • Diabetic retinopathy screening
  • KeepSight

There will also be a range of on‐demand content available including videos and articles on topics such as contact lens use, dry eye treatments, myopia control and more, and special guest lectures from Glaucoma Australia, Diabetes Australia, the Fred Hollows Foundation and the Macula Degeneration Foundation of Australia.

SCC kicks off on July 29, with a live webinar featuring Dr Aanchal Gupta on the topic of Optomising outcomes in cataract surgery.

We’ll also have a great range of prizes and competitions available for students participating in SCC Online.

Registration for students is FREE!
