About the role:
In partnership with the Optometrist Partner, be responsible for the daily operations of the Specsavers store, whilst leading your team to provide customers with the highest standards of service and eye care.

Roselands is a suburb about 16 km south west of the Sydney CBD.
Specsavers opened in 2009 in the Roselands Shopping Centre – home to numerous specialty stores – including Coles, Woollies, Myer and Target.
The store went through a major refit in 2019 and offers 5 test rooms, 8 dispense points and over 1225 frame’s along with market leading equipment – including 2 OCTs and a dedicated Audiology room.

Transform eye health with Specsavers
Studies have consistently shown 50% of glaucoma is undiagnosed across Australia and New Zealand – a statistic Specsavers set out to change. Over five years of consistently integrating systems and processes, including introducing OCT as part of every standard eye exam at no extra cost to the patient, performing same day visual fields and working collaboratively with Glaucoma Australia and RANZCO, we are proud to demonstrate the impact we’ve made on undiagnosed glaucoma. In 2021 we are detecting glaucoma in 1.43% of our patients, nearly matching the reported national prevalence rate of 1.5%. We estimate our optometrists have reduced the level of undiagnosed glaucoma among our patients by at least 60%, undoubtedly making an impact on the path to eliminating glaucoma as a cause of avoidable blindness in Australia and measurably improving outcomes for patients.
Another leading cause of avoidable blindness in Australia is diabetes. As a founding partner of the KeepSight initiative, Specsavers aimed to register 200,000 patients within the first two years of the program. In April 2021, just on the two-year anniversary, we surpassed that target. In addition, one of Specsavers’ more ambitious goals as part of the coordinated KeepSight approach was to increase the return rate of patients with diabetes for an eye test to 80% within five years. In March 2021, we hit that target, with 80% of KeepSight registered patients who were due for their eye test attending on time. By moving the needle on these two metrics, we are working to reduce the 50% of people with diabetes who do not receive regular eye checks, ensuring more and more patients with diabetes are part of the KeepSight eyecare ecosystem, accessing regular care and lowering their risk of avoidable blindness.
