Optical professionals are encouraged to keep their calendars free in 2018 for the largest Specsavers professional development event in Australia and New Zealand – the Specsavers Clinical Conference (SCC).
The 7th SCC will take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from Saturday 8 to Sunday 9 September 2018. In previous years, the optometry conference has involved a full-day ophthalmology-led conference program preceded by a half day of optometry-led clinical education sessions. However, due to increasing popularity, this year’s SCC will include a full-day program of clinical education sessions.
As more information on the event becomes available, look out for an expanded social program, one or two very special awards, and an extended exhibition on the Saturday, increasing the conference to a full two days.
If you are interested in attending the SCC, contact Madeleine Curran on 0437 840 749 or via madeleine.curran@specsavers.com
In related news, following its successful debut earlier this year, the Specsavers Dispensing Conference will also be returning in 2018. The one-day conference, which will include practical workshops presented by experts in the field, will tour Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth from 12-17 August 2018.
