SCC virtual session focuses on managing patients with diabetes
On Wednesday, September 8, Specsavers hosted another successful SCC event, livestreaming close to 430 participants across Australia and New Zealand.
Sponsored by Topcon, the webinar focussed on Managing Patients with Diabetes and featured a CPD talk from Dr Adam Rudkin, Glenelg Community Hospital & Adelaide Day Surgery, specialising in macula diseases and vitreoretinal conditions, including the management of retinal emergencies – retinal tears and detachment.
Dr Rudkin gave a detailed presentation on the classification and treatment of diabetic retinopathy and macular oedema. Dr Rudkin also illustrated key management considerations with clinical examples and emphasised the need for collaborative care for patients with diabetes.
The next SCC session will be held as a live event in Brisbane and will also be livestreamed across Australia and New Zealand on Wednesday September 15, 7.00pm AEST.
