Specsavers is offering free ticket / flight / accommodation packages to non-Specsavers optometrists looking to attend the 6th Specsavers Clinical Conference (SCC) in September 2017.
With the well-established professional development event returning to Melbourne after four years on the road in Sydney and Brisbane, Specsavers is expecting a turnout of 500 optometrists – including more than 100 non-Specsavers optometrists – at this year’s SCC. As in previous years, the day-and-a-half event is expected to offer delegates 30+ CPD points (AU) or 10+ CD and 2.5 general points (NZ).
The event will begin with a half-day of three one-hour sessions on Saturday 2 September. These clinical education sessions, which are anticipated to accrue 9 CPD points (AU) or 4 CD and 2 general points (NZ), will be focused on OCT best practice usage and routines, covering diabetes, glaucoma and age-related maculopathy.
At the end of the day, all delegates will be welcomed at an evening function where they will be able to network in a relaxed setting with refreshments and entertainment.
Sunday 3 September will comprise a full-day clinical conference and exhibition. The conference will include seven one-hour clinical and therapeutic sessions from some of Australia and New Zealand’s most respected ophthalmologists, with an anticipated 22 CPD points (AU) or 6.5 CD and 0.5 general points (NZ) on offer.
The SCC exhibition will include contact lens, ophthalmic lens and automated equipment sponsors, and Specsavers Support Team and profession-relevant exhibitors.
Further details on speakers, sponsors and SCC sessions will be announced in July.
