The extension of the Specsavers Clinical Conference’s (SCC7) Saturday program means more CPD / CD points are on offer than ever before, and new speakers have been confirmed to join the previously announced line-up of leading ophthalmologists.

SCC7 will take place over two days from Saturday 8 September to Sunday 9 September at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The previously announced Sunday program will comprise a series of six one-hour sessions presented by leaders and experts in ophthalmology, designed to provide valuable take-home messages that can be implemented in the optometry consulting room. This will be preceded by a series of four one-hour sessions of clinical content on the Saturday, delivered by the following presenters:

Dr Tu Tran
Eyes First
Glaucoma: Review of referral pathway, case reviews, OCT overview

Dr Chameen Samarawickrama
Hospital for Specialist Surgery
Managing corneal lesions

Dr Erwin Groeneveld
Brisbane Eye Clinic
Guidelines for detection and management of diabetic eye disease

Dr Simon Skalicky
Eye Surgery Associates
Managing the glaucoma patient: optometry, ophthalmology and Glaucoma Australia

The SCC7 exhibition will also be open on both the Saturday and Sunday, with additional clinical talks to be held during the lunch breaks.

Further details will be shared in the coming weeks.
