Specsavers Australia & New Zealand has launched a new program for Pathway graduates who are in the process of transitioning into store ownership, providing them with further opportunities to progress their leadership and business management skills.
The new Pathway Plus program was launched on 15 October in Sydney at an invitation-only event hosted by the Pathway faculty. Through Pathway Plus, participants will have the opportunity to complete a number of advanced courses to further develop their leadership skills in preparation for store ownership. For example, they will be invited to participate in Specsavers’ award-winning Spotlight leadership development program. They will also have access to finance masterclasses where they will be able to further hone their business planning and management skills.
In addition to learning about the new program, attendees at the Pathway Plus launch event received an in-depth presentation on how the Specsavers business transfer process works, including a step-by-step breakdown and information on the support that Specsavers offers. Partnership opportunities across Australia and New Zealand were discussed and shared, as well as the business advantages of being ‘geo-flexible’. The evening concluded with a brainstorming session, where the participants discussed what they wanted to gain from the program and the specific skills they wished to build on.
The Pathway Plus program is expected to be rolled out into other regions in the coming weeks.
