Trust has never been more important within a business, especially now as the COVID-19 pandemic is forcing all businesses to change the way we operate and deliver services to our customers.

We are in a climate where optometrists are playing a crucial role in supporting the healthcare sector by triaging customers with concerns, advising and reassuring them, and in many cases referring them on for further assistance either through other primary or even tertiary health providers. It’s a climate where trust has never been more essential.

That’s why we are thrilled to receive the good news that Specsavers has been named the most trusted optometry brand in Australia and in New Zealand, in the 2020 Trusted Brands Survey conducted by the Australian Reader’s Digest and New Zealand Reader’s Digest.

Leading research company Catalyst Research conducted the independent survey and polled a cross-section of more than 3,000 Australians and 1601 New Zealanders, to name the most-trusted brands across more than 70 leading consumer categories.

This is not a survey of the readers of Reader’s Digest magazine, but an independently commissioned poll, with the results appearing exclusively in Reader’s Digest.

Crucially, brands included in the list to be rated were generated by asking consumers in Australia and New Zealand for their most trusted brands. This was an unprompted question to ensure the rating of top brands in each category, as selected by the general public, without prejudice.

Each respondent was required to complete an online questionnaire. Catalyst Research asked each participant to rate the brands they trust for each category. They then rate their most trusted brand of that category and explain why.
