Several Specsavers team members have celebrated the successful completion of the Diploma of Leadership & Management course.

Two graduation ceremonies were held in mid-March 2017, hosted by Danny Ginsberg (Specsavers Australia & New Zealand Head of Training – Retail).

The first took place at the Port Melbourne Support Office for a contingent comprising store staff from New Zealand and a number of Australian states. Certificates were presented by Nigel Parker (Managing Director Australia & New Zealand) and Wayne Butson (Director of Service Industries and Transition Education, Victoria University).

A few weeks later, another ceremony was held in Sydney for the New South Wales contingent, with Victoria Jones (Senior Training & Development Manager) and Gerard Glennon (‎Industry Commercial Engagement Leader, Victoria University) on hand to present the students with their diplomas.

The Diploma of Leadership & Management is a 12-month course that aims to further enhance the skills of Specsavers store managers and high-performing team members. It is an accredited qualification facilitated by Victoria University.

The course is supported by the Specsavers Retail Leadership Development Team, which offers training and education year-round to help store members maximise their potential and further their careers.
