Specsavers has once again been named as one of Australia’s Best Workplaces™ for 2024 by Great Place To Work®, the global authority on workplace culture.

Specsavers was ranked 6th in the Top 10 Best Workplaces in Australia List (up 2 places from 8th in 2023), the second year it has been included in the list.

This prestigious recognition not only acknowledges Specsavers’ commitment to delivering exceptional eye and hearing care to all Australians, but also highlights its ongoing dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive, and vibrant work environment where everyone can flourish and thrive.

The Best Workplaces™ in Australia List 2024 highlights organisations committed to fostering workplace equity, ensuring their employees feel safe, heard, challenged and valued.

Rebecca Moulynox, General Manager of Great Place to Work Australia, emphasised the increasing importance of trust within organisations. As Great Place To Work identifies the Best 100 Workplaces in Australia, the focus on cultivating a trustworthy environment is seen as essential for fostering a positive workplace culture.

“The standout trait of Australia’s Best 100 Workplaces is the deep-seated trust that permeates through each level of the organisations. This trust enhances the employee experience, transforming these workplaces into environments where exceptional talent thrives. Such organisations are not only successful in retaining top talent but also in creating resilient, dynamic cultures that drive business growth and positively impact the broader Australian business landscape.” Moulynox stated.

Specsavers has also been an accredited Great Place to Work organisation for the past five years.

Specsavers Managing Director Paul Bott said, “To be recognised as one of Australia’s best workplaces for the second-year running is incredibly special and something each and every one of our team members should feel extremely proud of. While we take great pride in creating an environment where everyone feels empowered to be themselves and has the tools and support to grow and thrive in their career, this recognition is down to each and every one of our team members who make Specsavers one of the best places to work.

“Our people, both in our stores and our support office are the heartbeat of our organisation, and this achievement is a reflection of the passion and dedication they bring to their work each day.”

Some of the key qualities that were reviewed as part of the culture survey included Specsavers’ ongoing commitment to team development, how we live by our values and behaviors, our approach to diversity and inclusion, and our exceptional customer service.

Specsavers People Director Karen Clancy added, “Specsavers is, and has always been, a company built on great people – people who show up every day in our stores and across all of our support functions to ensure we are helping to change lives through better sight and hearing.

“With such a steadfast purpose, there’s something special about the culture it creates, a place where people feel welcome, valued and proud be part of the Specsavers family that is making a difference every day.”
